Ashiatsu

When practicing Ahh...shiatsu or (Ashiatsu), a massage therapist uses their feet to apply long even pressured strokes. The therapist holds on to wooden bars suspended from the ceiling for balance and uses one foot at a time to apply long, flowing, rhythmic strokes. Using the feet to apply pressure allows the therapist to go deeper than is commonly possible when working with the hands; while working with the foot delivers pressure evenly for a firm but relaxing massage. The therapist can easily adjust the amount of pressure for those who prefer a lighter touch and still deliver the same effects.
